Digital Transformation with GESS
Bentley Customization and Plugin Development
GESS provides customers with custom made applications written as plug-ins into Bentley MicroStation CONNECT Edition to assist them to automate processes that takes time.
These tools are then deployed to the customer through an enterprise workspace which is centrally managed to attain a standard configuration and toolset across the enterprise.
The tools typically employ a central spatial database to track processes and to coordinate and report data from a single source.
GESS also creates web front ends to manage the configurations of these databases and to allow for data capturing or importing from other enterprise systems through ETL processs.
Bentley Platforms previously addressed for customers include plugins on:
- MicroStation
- ProjectWise
- InRoads & Geopak
- OpenRoads
- gINT (now called OpenGround)
- WaterCAD/WaterGEMS
Version Migration
GESS also provides services to migrate customers from the older Bentley V8i platform to the new Bentley CONNECT Edition platform.
This migration includes conversion of workspaces and vba macros as well as rewriting macros written in the language MicroStationBASIC which does not exist any longer on the CONNECT platform.
In fact any existing macros can be converted to use the Bentley .NET API using C# used in the Bentley CONNECT Edition.
